Lighthouse Credit Union Unveils New Products Designed to Make Positive Impact on Members and Communities
Portsmouth, New Hampshire– Oct. 18, 2024 –Lighthouse Credit Union has launched an innovative suite of checking, savings, and credit card products designed to deliver greater benefits to its members while making a positive impact on the communities served.
The new offerings feature a suite of high-impact account options, including cash back rewards and unique donation programs. Members can choose to earn rewards for themselves or contribute their rewards to community initiatives through the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation. Focused on enriching and nourishing the lives of others, the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation invests in organizations, programs and initiatives that improve access to housing, eliminate food insecurity, and advance education.
The new Lighthouse Rewards Checking account enables members to earn 1% cash back on eligible purchases like groceries, gas, and utility bills. When members use their debit card, they earn 1% cash back, up to $50 in cash back each month. Members can either keep the rewards, or donate them to the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation, with the credit union matching contributions up to $50 each month. Members can potentially generate up to $100 per month for community programs simply by banking with Lighthouse Credit Union. A free checking account, Lighthouse Checking, will also be an option for members.
The new savings options offer the flexibility to choose between a Lighthouse Savings account which includes a flat rate and no monthly fees; or a Lighthouse Premium Savings account, that offers a tiered rate structure, a donation feature, and no monthly fees. When members choose to save through Lighthouse Premium Savings, their balances contribute to greater impact within the communities served. The credit union will make monthly donations to the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation, which is driven by the member’s balance in their Lighthouse Premium Savings account. The more a member saves, the more the credit union contributes to community impact!
Lighthouse Credit Union’s new VISA® credit card suite, featuring the Anchor and Navigator cards, offers low-rate options with no annual fees. The Navigator card provides a low rate, no annual fee, and 1% cash back, which can also be donated to support community initiatives. Like Lighthouse Rewards, if a member elects to donate their cash back from the Navigator card, Lighthouse Credit Union will match the donation one for one.
“As a credit union, our mission is to meet the financial needs of our members while making a positive impact on the communities we serve,” said Chris Parker, President and CEO of Lighthouse Credit Union. “These new products demonstrate our commitment to enriching and nourishing the lives of others. They empower members to make financial decisions that benefit both their personal finances and the places where they live and work.”
